Sympathy thank you card

At this time of year we should remember our Lord who gave it all for us. It is also a time of reflection. As I look back on the last year I think of all the loved ones we lost. The hardest one for me was my Dad, Nick Beaumont. He was such a loving, giving, caring man. I have so many wonderful memories of him. He was 1 month and a day short of his 82 birthday. He passed away on April 13th. 2008. I have comfort in knowing he is with his Lord, My Dad loved his Lord. God was the most important to him. It was very hard for me when he died because he was my best friend. He had my back no matter what an idiot I was- trust me I was. We loved to watch movies together, rummage and talk. He served in WWII and Korea in the Navy and boy he could tell you stories.
This is the card I made to thank people who sent me cards. The inside says - the light led him home to his final port-of-call. Thank you for your wonderful thoughts of comfort. They were a safe haven during the storm.
I also need to tell anyone who is missing someone to listen to Mark Harris- wish you were here. You can find the song below on my radio. This song made me remember he was where he wanted to be. In the presence of Our Savior.
May you all have a Blessed Easter. Think of our Lord and how much he means to us. He is Risen- He is risen indeed.
